hyperI/O LLC, the file and disk I/O performance monitoring expert, announced today that its new "hIOmon Disk I/O Ranger" software package is now generally available.  Leveraging key components of its industry-leading "hIOmon I/O Performance Monitor" software technology, the separately-available hIOmon Disk I/O Ranger utility provides a simple and easy-to-use way for users to quickly assess the actual "speeds and feeds" I/O performance of their individual devices, applications, and even files during normal, everyday usage – and with no operating system, file system, file, or application changes required.

Response Time, IOPS, MB/s and QD Range Metrics

hyperI/O LLC, the file and disk I/O performance monitoring expert, announced today that the latest release of its industry-leading hIOmon™ File I/O Performance Monitor software adds support for "Response Time" range metrics to its recently-introduced hIOmon "Performance Threshold Range Metrics", which are a selected set of summarized I/O operation performance metrics that are specifically focused upon the ranges of I/O operations per second (IOPS), megabytes-per-second (MB/s) data transfer rates, and I/O operation queue depths/lengths actually observed by the hIOmon I/O Monitor for individual files, devices, and processes during normal, everyday application usage and with no operating system, file system, file, or application changes required.

hyperI/O LLC, the file and disk I/O performance monitoring expert, announced today that the integrated support for IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring provided by Version 7.0 of the industry-leading hIOmon™ File I/O Performance Monitor software utility tool from hyperI/O has successfully met the IBM specifications for validation as "Ready for IBM Tivoli software".  The revalidated "hIOmon IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) Intelligent Remote Agent (IRA)" solution entry is included within the IBM "Integrated Service Management (ISM) Library", which can be accessed at: http://www.ibm.com/software/ismlibrary.

 Microsoft® Windows® Gadget for Displaying Metrics

hyperI/O LLC, the file and disk I/O performance monitoring expert, announced today that its industry-leading hIOmon File I/O Performance Monitor software supports the collection of Windows "Manage Data Set Attributes (MDSA)" I/O operation performance metrics, including those pertaining to the Solid State Disk (SSD) "TRIM" command, for the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems from Microsoft.  These metrics can be captured by hIOmon during normal, everyday application usage and with no operating system, file system, file, or application changes required.
